The Salvadoran aerospace engineer, Patricia Ortiz, who leads NASA projects in Southern California, is living like just another space enthusiast the imminent launch of the Artemis II mission to lunar orbit, this Wednesday, April 1.
On her Instagram profile, our compatriot has documented the hours leading up to the liftoff of the rocket that will carry four astronauts to fly over the Moon's orbit for 10 days, without landing on the satellite.
“Prepared for this historic day,” she posted alongside a video of her experience at the Kennedy Space Center, in Cape Canaveral, Florida, ahead of the launch of the first crewed mission to the Moon since 1972. “Good luck Artemis!”, she added.
